How I Made $115,000 and Lost It All
I literally don't know what i was doing
Speed is everything.
Whatever it is that you do, if you can close twice as fast, you’ll be in the 10x game—10-100-10,000 and so on. Speed is the most prioritized skill you need to get better at.
A lot of people are in the business of selling you reach, curiosity, fear, and desire. That’s because no one wants you to know that speed is what makes those four factors a master recipe.
The ability to admit to yourself that you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing is better than any reach you’ll ever need. What good is reach if you’re not there on time? How curious can someone be if they could see right through you? When someone is in the zone hustling, people notice, but they wonder what you are doing. Move fast, you’ll live longer.
I’m saving you thousands of dollars that I spent learning and buying all of these marketing masterclasses to end up wondering why the fuck did I spend my money on shit that I already knew.
I hate to put it this way but be cynical of every advertisement that tries to tell you that if you sign up with them, you’ll get business, or double your profit, it’s all bullshit.
To give someone the responsibility to make money for your business is the silliest shit I’ve ever fallen for. Who cares about my business? If they can sell, they’ll sell their shit. Guess who’s buying? You guessed it, you.
What they’re selling you is a kid in India who knows how to manipulate your metrics. You are paying to see your business fail.
I’m passionate about this because of all the times I’ve been sold. It’s only in the end that you realize that you’ve been scammed. You don’t get your money back.
Redefine Business
Let’s change everything you’ve been taught about business for a second. Most people (like me) think of business as getting a location and looking like you make money. While all that is fun, none of it is business.
When the word business pops up anywhere, only think, “money in.” Everything else doesn’t matter. Fuck your bookkeeper, fuck your accountant, fuck your office chair, fuck your podcast, fuck your subscriptions, and fuck everything you’ve been told. Business?
Money in. Money in? Business. Do you gotta pay for dinner? Money out? Not business. Strippers? No business. Starbucks? No business. Any money out is a signal saying, “you have no business.” r
Money coming in signals, “you have a business.” Ideally, you only want to see the latter 90% of the time until you have so much money, that you can afford to outsource time.
So I was putting all my business relations together and I realized where most of my money was burning up. My money was burning just as fast as I was making it. I was in my first year and second year. In my third year, I broke even.
My fourth-year revenues at $115,000. This is where things got sloppy. When you have money for the first time—you’re so excited to spend it because you never had that kind of money before.
Where did all my money go? I was thinking to myself on the bathroom floor of some brothel with a hooker I just snorted cocaine with and was supposed to smash after but I couldn’t get it up. Fuck your feelings. No money in the world could have produced a viagra (or blue chew) to spontaneously combust.
The Universe
I end up spending three hours getting to know this girl from Argentina. I don’t give a fuck what she has to say, but I already paid. What does this mean? Money out! You have no business! It’s the biggest FUCK YOU from the universe. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE SMOOTH NOW?
I don’t know if you realized this but in your dreams, do you notice that there’s always something coming after you? It’s like you’re running away from something. The moment you’re about to get captured, you wake up. Well, the thing is that the world works similarly. The universe is always forcing itself onto you. It depends on how you receive the universe.
If you feel like the universe keeps fucking you in the ass with no vaseline, then the universe will continue hitting that ass. If you can somehow leverage the energy of the universe coming after you and positively adapt to the wave, things will change. Often than not, it starts by focusing on your happiness. I wish someone told me this sooner.
I’ve sacrificed years of my happiness because I bought into the idea that I was supposed to struggle for two or three years so that I can come back rich and happy by the fourth year. I look back now and just can’t believe I was ever so naive.
Vices
Vices have kept businesses intact since the first century. Vices are associated with pleasure. Pleasure is associated with escape. Escape is associated with fear. Fear is associated with Faith. Faith is associated with belief. Belief is associated with religion. Religion is associated with sin. Sin is associated with Vices, especially when you love it. It is said that more than 50% of our wealth will go to vices. How can you leverage vices?
Most of the time, you just need a pretty face. During the pandemic, I experienced the lowest of the low myself. It started innocent but ended up with a huge headache and an awkward silence that’s going to be felt for over a decade. My cousin’s cousin, I don’t know the legal term but I’m not related to her. She wanted to monetize her modeling. She asked me how could she make money on Onlyfans because it’s illegal in the Philippines.
