You wake up.
Same routine. Same job. Same paycheck that disappears before the month ends.
You tell yourself, "This is just how life is.”
But deep down, you know something’s off.
You’re not living—you’re just existing.
And the scariest part? Years keep passing, but nothing changes.
One day, you’ll blink, and you will be 40, 50, 60—still stuck in the same cycle, wondering where the hell your life went.
If that thought doesn’t terrify you, close this article now.
But if you’re tired of feeling like a hamster on a wheel, keep reading.
You’re in Survival Mode
(And You Don’t Even Realize It)
Survival mode is when:
- Every day feels like Groundhog Day (same shit, different toilet).
- You’re working just to pay bills, not to build a life.
- You’re alive, but you don’t feel awake.
In L.A., we call this "being a functional zombie."
You go through the motions, but you’re dead inside.
And the system? It’s designed to keep you here.
How You Got Trapped
(Without Even Knowing It)
Think back:
- In school, you had to ask permission to pee.
- You were trained to obey bells, sit down, and shut up.
- Now, you ask permission (from bosses, banks, landlords) just to live.
Sound familiar?
That’s not freedom. That’s a prison with better marketing.
You don’t own your life—you rent it.
You trade time for money, then money for survival, and at the end? You’re left with nothing but exhaustion.
The Hard Truth:
(You’re a Digital Slave)
- You pay to work (gas, clothes, rent near your job).
- You pay to exist (taxes, bills, subscriptions).
- You pay for the illusion of freedom (credit cards, loans).
And the worst part? Most people never escape.
They just work, pay, and repeat until they’re too old to enjoy life.
But you? You’re different.
Because you’re aware.
Awareness is the first step to breaking free.
How to Escape Survival Mode
(Before It’s Too Late)
This isn’t fluffy self-help bullshit. These are battle-tested rules from someone who clawed their way out:
1. Pay Yourself First
- Before bills, before excuses—put money in your escape fund.
- Even $20 a week adds up. Stop letting corporations eat your paycheck.
2. Kill Instant Gratification
- Netflix, porn, junk food, impulse buys—they’re keeping you poor and distracted.
- Invest in what builds your future, not what numbs your pain.
3. Your Circle is Your Net Worth
- You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.
- If they’re broke, miserable, or complacent? You’re next.
4. Never Clock Out (From Your Own Life)
Your 9-5 pays bills. Your after-hours pay freedom.
Learn a skill. Start a side hustle. Build something that’s yours.
5. Get the Hell Out of Your Country (At Least Once)
- Travel alone. See how other people live.
- Realize your "normal" is someone else’s nightmare.
6. Stay the Hell Out of Drama
- No pointless relationships. No office gossip. Focus on your mission.
- (If you must argue with a woman, send flowers instead. It works every time.)
7. Play the Long Game
- College? Only… if someone else is paying.
- Debt? A chain around your neck.
- Every dollar should either make you money or buy you time.
This is Your Wake-Up Call
You have two choices:
1. Keep doing what you’re doing, and end up like everyone else.
2. Take one step today—just one—toward breaking free.
Survival mode ends when you decide it ends.
So, what’s it gonna be?
